Rapid Training Courses Units 5, 6, 18 in Asset Maintenance Pest Management Technical

Course Information

This course covers the three (3) basic units of competency.

• PRMPM18B

The training course is mapped against the 3 units of competency and consists of the following Modules:

• Module 1: Safety First
• Module 2a: Pests and Managing their Environment
• Module 2b: Pesticide Application
• Module 3: Legislation
• Module 4: Chemical & Equipment Storage
• Module 5: Service Operations
• Calcs: Calculations
• Final Assessment: Units 5, 16 & 18 Final Assessment

Completing the Course

This intensive course has been designed to be completed in 8 weeks or less. All students have 12 months to complete the course before re-enrolling.

External Studies

This asks the student to work from home, office or any site the student chooses. It offers greater flexibility however students should have a strong liaison with both their workplace coach and Rapid Training Pty Ltd, to use this method. External students can either apply for their full Assessment or present Module 5 as a video assessment. In this case the assessor will view the video and may ask residual questions or request more evidence. Each module has a set of assignments and/or projects to complete and send in for marking. The assignments will be marked by qualified persons and returned to the candidate with comments. Assignments with favourable comments can be then used by the candidate as documentary evidence for support at their full Assessment.

Student Support

As this training program is completed through distance education there will be significant amounts of reading and writing involved in working though the training modules and assessments. There is also a certain level of mathematical skill required in some of the modules. If you believe you may need assistance with your training in the areas of reading, writing or maths please mark the appropriate box on the enrolment form.Please note these forms and the information contained therein remain confidential with Rapid Training Pty Ltd.

Achieving the Required Competency

In summary to achieve the required competency a candidate may complete three (3) main tasks.

1. Complete a logbook (included in training kit) of work performed during the training period
2. Complete all module assignments
3. Demonstrate competency at the Practical Assessment
